Captain: TIMOTHY LAUGHRIDGE
Tim brings a solid professional background, decades of experience, and a natural love for the sea to his position as Sariyah's captain. One of the most admired and best known charteryacht captains under sail today, he holds a 1600-ton yacht master's license with an auxiliary sail endorsement. He is also STCW certified.

You'll no doubt enjoy Tim's company as much as you'll feel complete confidence in his abilities. He will listen carefully to your expectations and personally tailor your cruise to your preferences,
whether you seek new adventures every day or choose to simply enjoy all the luxuries and privacy of Sariyah. His boundless energy, infectious sense of humor, and knowledge of special secrets and surprises in the world's best cruising grounds make him a delightful host as well as a thoroughly capable captain.

Tim grew up in Manchester by the Sea, a sailing community on the Massachusettss shore just north of Boston. After finishing school, he embarked on his impressive career, serving in various capacities in the yachting industry. Beginning as a gourmet chef, he quickly worked
his way through the ranks as steward, deckhand, mate, and on to captain. For more than twenty years, he has skippered private yachts
and charter yachts, made worldwide ocean deliveries, and competed in Grand Prix racing, both inshore and offshore. Tim has also worked
with yacht yards around the globe as project manager both for new builds and for extensive refits.

He has an especially deep affection for Sariyah, having been with her ever since she was no more than a concept on Sparkman and Stephens' drawing board. He oversaw her construction, has taken her cruising around the world, and has just completed an exceptional charter year in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Yacht racing - whether on Sariyah or on smaller boats - is one of Tim's favorite pursuits. When Sariyah is in the spectator fleet at America's Cup Races and other world-class regattas, his expertise means guests have an excellent and entertaining personal commentator.

Tim's home base is Newport, Rhode Island, and when he's able to spend time ashore he enjoys a fast-paced game of tennis or a few rounds of
golf .

It will be Tim's honor to welcome you aboard Sariyah. He and his polished and professional crew - chef, mate, engineer, deckhand, and
stewardess - will do all in their power to make your sojourn aboard the most pleasurable vacation you have ever experienced.
